World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it's upgraded.
Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure what can be improved upon the reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.
In the endgame, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to increase the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens they can roll the upgrade of their item. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it could waste a lot of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.
Requirements
The upgrader for items lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
